I am an experienced and professionally qualified psychotherapist registered with BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council).
I undertook a rigorous professional training in London at WPF Therapy which is a leading academic and clinical institution for psychotherapy in the UK. This is accredited by both BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy). I am a member of the FPC (Foundation for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and fully comply with their stringent ethical codes. These ensure high standards of care, confidentiality and professionalism are adhered to at all times and also set down a requirement for annual CPD.
I hold a PG Dip. in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice from Roehampton University as well as a first degree in Economics from Reading University. I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and worked in financial services for over 20 years.
Choosing the right therapist is important – often it is the strength of the relationship between the client and therapist which is the best indicator of a good outcome. It is important the therapist has undertaken accredited training and is appropriately registered with the relevant professional bodies. I am committed to providing professional support in a welcoming environment.
I am curious and respectful of people from all walks of life and the concerns they hold. I aim to adopt an unbiased and accepting approach when engaging with areas of difference such as race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, class, age, culture and nationality.
